Our water reclamation procedures cut down on water waste, which results in a wash that uses less water than you would if you washed your car at home.

Mid Island Auto Wash offers the following washes:


Nantucketer ($40):

ceramic sealant, hot wax, wheel bright, wheel blaster, underbody rinse, tri foam conditioner, clear coat sealer, touch free drive.


Beachcomber ($35):

wheel bright, wheel blaster, underbody rinse, tri foam conditioner, clear coat sealer, touch free drive.


Whaler ($30):

underbody rinse, tri foam conditioner, touch free drive.


Basic ($25):

Soapy cloth bath, fresh water rinse, touch free driver

The self-service wash and Vacuums takes Dollar coins, quarters, bills, and credit cards.

FAQ

  • I used the vacuums or self-serve and I have a $20 charge on my credit card. Why is that?

    The $20 pending charge you see from using the vacuums or self-serve is a pre-authorization that will batch out to what you actually used within 24 to 48 hours.

  • Do you detail cars as well?

    Due to lack of staff, we are not offering detail services at this time.

  • Do I need change for the vacuums or the self serve?

    No. Each vacuum or self serve takes dollar coins, quarters, dollar bills, and/or credit cards. We have a change machine on the premises.

  • What is the local card?

    The local card is a car wash program designed to offer our best wash package to the year-round residents of the island. The card offers 25 washes at a discounted price of $29 and is valid for one year. There is a limit of one card per vehicle.

  • Can I have items in the open bed of my pickup truck?

    No, all truck beds must be free of sand and debris. Possible damage to your truck can occur at your expense.

  • What if I have a bike rack or any style of rack on the back of my car or SUV?

     You must take off the bike rack or you will be turned away. Possible damage to your car or our equipment will result. We do have a self-serve for those that can’t go through the tunnel wash.

  • I have a car with electric folding mirror, when should I fold them in?

    You should be ready to fold them in after the gate has opened.

  • Can I go through if my car is really muddy?

    We recommend using the Self-Serve Wash, high pressure soap and high pressure rinse options to get most of the mud off your car first before entering the carwash to guarantee a maximum clean. 

  • What gear should I be in at the entrance of the tunnel?

    Neutral! The car must be able to roll for the machine to work.
